What should I expect at my first visit?
During your first appointment, you’ll meet with your provider at Renal Specialists of Houston to review your medical history, current health concerns, and any available test results. An examination will be performed. If needed, additional tests may be ordered to help guide your diagnosis and create a personalized treatment plan.
What should I bring with me?
To ensure a smooth and productive visit, please bring the following items:
- Your insurance card
- A valid photo ID
- A list of all medications you’re currently taking — include names, dosages, frequency, and strength (in milligrams)
- Your completed new patient packet (if not submitted online in advance)
- Any relevant medical records (we’ll make copies and return the originals)
- A personal calendar to help schedule future appointments
We also recommend writing down any questions you may have ahead of time so don’t forget to ask during your visit.
