Renal Specialists of Houston’s Bay Area Vascular Center (BAVC) is a dedicated outpatient procedure center specializing in the creation and maintenance of dialysis accesses. Our mission is to provide timely, high-quality vascular access care in a convenient setting to support effective dialysis treatment.
Our experienced team - including interventional nephrologists and surgeons - performs a wide range of procedures to ensure your access remains functional and free of complications. Services include:
- Fistulagram/Venogram
- Angioplasty or stenting to open narrowed vessels
- Graft and Fistula Thrombectomy (removal of clots)
- Central venous catheter insertion, removal, exchange, and repair
- Ultrasound mapping of arteries and veins for future access planning
- Placement of peritoneal dialysis catheters
At BAVC, we work closely with your nephrologist, dialysis facility and care team to coordinate treatment, improve outcomes, and minimize disruptions in your dialysis schedule caused by access issues. This integrated approach enhances the quality of care and reduces hospital visits for vascular access problems.
